On 24 january 2025 a new version of Brightspace was rolled out on the production environment (20.25.01). Below you can read what the changes are from this release.
Supported browser versions Brightspace
A number of older browser versions are no longer supported by D2L, the company behind Brightspace. This means that D2L will no longer run tests with these browsers and will not fix any programming errors. After logging in to Brightspace, you will receive a notification if you are using an outdated browser. These are the browsers:
- Chrome 67
- Edge 80
- Safari 12
- Firefox 67
The minimum browser versions that are still supported are:
- Chrome 129
- Edge 129
- Safari 18
- Firefox 130
Brightspace ePortfolio disabled
Brightspace ePortfolio has been replaced by Portflow. As of January 24, 2025, ePortfolio has been completely disabled. Only Portflow is available from now on. If you still need (temporary) access to ePortfolio for urgent reasons, you can contact functional management DLO via [email protected]
Self-evaluation in Portflow
If a student wanted to complete a progress evaluation for themselves, they had to do so by first creating the progress review, choosing 'self-evaluation' and then completing the self-evaluation via the My access & Requests page. From now on, the student can directly go to the self-evaluation in the last screen of creating the progress review.
