Sections
With Sections you can sort students and lecturers into two or more sections within a course. This can help you keep an overview in a course with a large number of participants, where lecturers are only allowed to view and assess a select group of students. Lecturers and students who've been sorted into a section can only see other members of their section, and lecturers can only view the submitted assignments and grades of students within their section.
With Sections, you can:
- with the role of Teacher (and below), only view and assess the grades, assignments, quizzes and surveys of students within your section;
- divide students into groups within a section ;
- make course material available to students of a specific section with the use of release conditions.
Only the course coordinator (Coordinator role) will keep access to all contents, sections, and participants within a course. And only they can create and manage sections.
