User Guide AV Control – Extron LCD Panel (Large Rooms)

Starting up the room equipment

1. Activate the touchscreen
Touch the screen with your finger, the Welcome Screen will now appear.

2. Start the equipment
Touch the screen again to power on the equipment in the room.

3. Check startup status
Once fully powered on, the Home Screen will appear and the system is ready to use.

Using the equipment

1. Room Name
Displays the name of the current room.

2. Use Laptop (USB-C)
Select this option if the laptop is connected via the USB-C connector. A green icon next to the source option indicates that a signal is detected. See the Info Screen (7) for instructions on how to share your laptop display.

3. Use Laptop (HDMI)
Select this option if your laptop is connected via the HDMI connector. A green icon next to the source option indicates that a signal is detected. See the Info Screen (7) for instructions on how to share your laptop display.

4. Picture Mute
Press this button to hide your laptop image. It will not be shown on the projector/LCD screen or in the web lecture recording. The button blinks yellow when activated and the screen will go to black.

5. Media Volume
Press this button to adjust the volume of the laptop. Use the Info Screen (7) for volume adjustments. See Info Screen: Media Volume.

6. Microphone Volume
Press this button to adjust the volume of the microphone designated to the room. Use the Info Screen (7) for volume adjustments. See Info Screen: Microphone Volume.

7. Info Screen
Shows tips and menu options.

8. Help
Press this button to access the Info Screen Help.

9. Shut Down System
Press this button to power off the system. When the power is off you can not use your laptop with the room equipment

10. Language Selection
Choose the preferred language for the control panel.

Info Screen Media Volume

1. Mute Media Volume
Press this button to mute your laptop’s media volume. Sound will no longer be played in the room or in the weblecture recording. The button blinks yellow when activated.

2. Adjust Media Volume
Slide left to decrease and right to increase the media volume. You can also adjust the volume on your laptop by clicking the speaker icon (Windows) and adjust the slider.

3. Media Volume Display
Displays the current media volume level.

 

Info Screen Microphone Volume

1. Mute Microphone Volume
Press this button to mute the room microphone. Sound will no longer be heard in the room or in the web lecture recording. The button blinks yellow when activated.

2. Adjust Microphone Volume
Slide left to decrease and right to increase the microphone volume.

3. Microphone Volume Display
Displays the current microphone volume level.
