Starting up the equipment
1. Starting up the equipment
Press the “ON” button (1) to switch on the equipment. This button flashes whilst the equipment is switching on. Once the flashing has stopped and the button is lit, the equipment has started up correctly. This panel is similar to other panels on campus. A more detailed guide can be found here.
2. Start X2O
Press the “X2O” button (4).
3. Using the iPad
Open the X2O app on your iPad and select the correct session. (You can also do this on your laptop in the X2O portal via the session’s operator panel.)
The equipment has now booted up and is ready for use.
Use of the equipment
Start session
1. If you want to share your laptop screen, connect the laptop using a cable and select the appropriate button on the panel. Choose USB-C (2) or HDMI (3).
2. The shared screen will appear on the virtual whiteboard (LCD screen) by clicking the button at the bottom right and selecting the screen.
Connect your laptop
Connect your laptop to the LCD screen using the USB-C/HDMI cable located next to the control box. If no image appears, press the “Windows key” + “P key” to select from the available options
1. PC screen only (image displayed on the computer screen only)
2. Duplicate (the same image displayed on both the laptop and the projector)
3. Extend (extend the desktop across both screens)
4. Second screen only (image displayed on the second screen only)
Stopping a session
1. In the X2O app on the iPad, tap the ‘Stop Session’ button (or in the operator panel -> ‘Stop Session’ button).
2. On the panel on the left of the desk, press the ‘OFF’ button (5) to switch off the whiteboard.
3. Press the X2O button so that it is no longer red.
