Using the microphone

1. On/off button and battery cover
Open the cover by pressing the two buttons on the side (1).

2. On/Off button
Press and hold the on/off button (2) until the LCD screen (4) lights up. The microphone is now turned on.

3. Mute slider
Check the mute slider (3). If the slider is set to the right, the sound is muted. If the slider is set to the left, you can start speaking.

Charging the microphone

1. Microphone position
Place the microphone correctly in the charger (1). There is only one way to do this, so do not force it.

2. Status LED
Check to see if the red LED is lit steadily (2). This means the microphone is positioned correctly and the battery is charging. When the green LED is lit steadily, the battery is fully charged.

Tips & tricks

  • Use the mute slider (3) to mute the microphone during the break. This ensures that unwanted conversations in the room are not picked up.
  • In most classrooms, the charging station is located on the teacher's desk.
  • Check the battery status before you start your activity. If the battery has only 1 bar left out of 3, use the spare battery. Place the empty battery in the charging station. Make sure to place it horizontally in the charging station.
  • Pay close attention to where you place the microphone on your clothing. The best position for a lavalier microphone is shown below.
