Updated on

Using the microphone

1. On/off button
The microphone switches on automatically when you remove it from the charging dock. If this does not happen, press and hold the on/off button (1) until the LCD screen (3) lights up. The microphone is now switched on.

2. Mute slider
Check the mute slider (2). If the slider is set to the right, the sound is muted. If the slider is set to the left, you can start speaking.

Charging the microphone

1. Microphone position
Place the microphone correctly in the charger (1). There is only one way to do this, so do not force it.

2. Status LED
Check that the LED is lit steadily in red (2). This means that the microphone is positioned correctly and the battery is charging. When the green LED is lit steadily, the battery is fully charged.

Tips & tricks

  • Mute the microphone using the mute slider during a break (2). This ensures that no unwanted conversations can be picked up in the room.
  • In most classrooms, the charging station is located on the teacher’s desk.
  • Check the battery status on the LCD screen (3) before you start your activity. If the battery has only 1 bar left out of 3, please contact Audiovisual Services.
  • Pay close attention to where you position the microphone on your clothing. The best position for a lavalier microphone is shown below.
