On 25 July 2025, a new version of Brightspace was rolled out on the production environment (20.25.07). Below you can read what the changes are in this release.
Note: Turnitin replaces Ouriginal from 1 September
Radboud University is switching from Ouriginal to Turnitin. From 1 September 2025 Ouriginal will no longer be available. This means that plagiarism reports can no longer be viewed either. For the upcoming testing period, Ouriginal can still be used but we recommend preparing courses with Turnitin from 1 August. For further questions, please contact the TIP of your faculty. Supported browser versions Brightspace
A number of older browser versions are no longer supported by D2L, the company behind Brightspace. This means that D2L will no longer run tests with these browsers and will not fix any programming errors. After logging in to Brightspace, you will receive a notification if you are using an outdated browser. These are the browsers:
- Chrome 135
- Edge 135
- Safari 18
- Firefox 137
The minimum browser versions that are still supported are:
- Chrome 103
- Edge 103
- Safari 16
- Firefox 103
The following browsers are no longer supported:
- Chrome 102 and earlier
- Edge 102 and earlier
- Safari 15 and earlier
- Firefox 102 and earlie
