1. Click on ‘New facility’ to register a new facility.

2. Click on the three dots next to an existing facility to change or remove it.

2. Then, not required, enter an Explanation(1) and a Validity period(2) (Click on the calendar icon).

An explanation must be added for the following facilities: Laptop – paper, Laptop – digital and large screen. Further information on this can be found under ‘Points of attention for study advisors’.

3.  You must specify that the facility is Assigned automatically or not. If ‘Yes’, the facility is always automatically allocated to the student when they register for a test. If ‘No’, the student must tick the facility themselves when registering.

Click ‘Save’; the facility has been registered.

Click on the three dots next to an existing facility to change it(1) and select ‘Change facility’(2).

Change validity period

You can then adjust the validity period of the facility. The system will then check whether the facility is already allocated to a test still fall within this period; if not, the facility will be removed at student/test level. It is also possible that there are future tests that now do fall within the period; in that case, the facility will still be allocated at student/test level.

Change explanation

You can then change the Explanation. Please note that the change will NOT be applied to any facilities already granted for existing course/test enrolments. For these existing enrolments, the academic administration must change the Explanation at student/test level in Osiris Basis.

The standard list with student-related provisions clarifies for students which provisions Radboud University offers to student who for example, due to a disability, require accommodations for their education or assessments. A student who believes they may be eligible for one of these provisions can contact the student counsellor. The student counsellor will provide an advice for provisions, which the student then discusses with the program’s student advisor.

Points of attention for study advisors for the registration of facilties in Osiris:

• The list published here is the standard list. If a student requires a facility that is not included in the list and that facility is granted, the ‘OVERIG’ facility category is used for this purpose in Osiris.
• Examples of other facilities include: taking medication, accessing course materials digitally. In more complex cases, the student counsellor and study advisor always consult with each other regarding the recommendation for facilities.
• For registration in Osiris, it is important to only name the facilities under ‘OVERIG’ and not to include any information about the reasons, as this is not relevant to the assessment organization and it is also not permitted under the GDPR.
• For a student with diabetes, the ‘OVERIG’ facility should be created with the following description: ‘Medical aid and telephone on the table for measurement purposes permitted’.
• For the following items, additional information must be added in Osiris:
  • LAPTOP-PAPIER: Specify whether the faculty or the student will provide the laptop.
  • LAPTOP-DIGITAAL: Specify whether the faculty or the student will provide the laptop.
  • GROOT-SCHERM: Specify the monitor size the student needs.
• Only one extra time facility may be granted per student; this may be extra time in accordance with faculty guidelines, extra time 50% or extra time 100%.
• Eating and drinking, using the restroom (unless urgent), and using foam earplugs are permitted as a general rule. This does not include electronic headphones.
• Students with EXTRA-TIJD are generally assigned to a special-needs classroom (maximum of 39 students in COM).
